EMULSION (High Explosives)

TIL offers high-quality emulsion explosives of varying dimensions that are suited to different blasting operations, including surface blasting and down-the-hole (DTH). These include:

SUPERPOWER EXPLOSIVE™
Superpower Explosive™ is a robust, high strength packaged emulsion explosives if stored in cool, dry, well ventilated magazine and handled properly. It is a water resistant packaged emulsion specifically formulated to inhibit exothermic reactions which may occur in loaded blast holes with reactive ground. Its combination of high explosive detonation, velocity, and energy, coupled with its robust nature makes it an ideal primer. It can also be used as a stand-alone high density column explosive.

Superpower Explosive™ must not be used at temperatures exceeding 150ºC. Offers enhanced resistance to dynamic desensitization; this enables the product to better withstand the effects of adjacent detonations with minimal loss of performance. Superpower Explosive™ is available as 80/90/Gold.

LARGE DIAMETER EMULSION EXPLOSIVES:
SolarGel (E) is a non-permitted, medium strength large diameter emulsion explosives column for medium to hard strata in coal, metalliferous mines and quarrying.

SolarPrime (E) is a non-permitted, medium strength large diameter emulsion explosives prime for medium to hard strata in coal, metalliferous mines and quarrying.

AMMONIUM NITRATE

Our branded prilled AMMONIUM NITRATE is a free owing off-white porous hardened spherical particle that has been treated with additives for hardening and prevent caking. Our Ammonium Nitrate is bagged in robust woven polypropylene bags with inner polyethylene. This helps to minimize absorption of moisture. These bags come in 25kg, 50 kg, and 100kg.

It enhances borehole loading speeds due to its high level absorption of oil and diesel.

Longer shelf life and ease of handling.

It is free from dirt, visible impurities and foreign matter.

The prills are hard and strong with very low moisture content.

ACCESSORIES

DETONATING CORD

Detonating cord assures reliable non-electric initiations. The range of cords are designed to withstand rugged use and exposure to extreme temperatures and are available with core-loads of 5g, 6g, 10g, 12g, 20g, 40g and 80g PETN core per meter. The cord is relatively insensitive to detonation by friction, shock or electric discharge and requires proper initiation for detonation.

ELECTRONIC DETONATORS

Traditional initiation systems electric detonators:
Designed to initiate explosives under various conditions of use, i.e. in underground and open-pit mines and for construction and engineering works,
Have a precise and wide range of delays, enabling advanced blasting operation
Offered in different safety classes
The selection of the proper detonators is a key factor in all blasting operations. Correctly selected detonators ensure the proper fragmentation of the excavated material, as well as a reduction of the para-seismic vibrations, noise levels and fly rocks.

NONEL CONNECTORS

The ergonomically designed connectors facilitate ease of coupling while ensuring positive retention during handling and upon initiation. Nonel connectors of 17ms, 25ms, 42ms, 67ms comes in various lengths as desired by customers.

NONEL DETONATORS

A wide range of non-electric detonators and shock tube which are immune to hazards of radio frequency radiation, stray currents and electro-static discharge. They are also rugged, and have abrasion-resistant tubing.

CONNECTING WIRE / BLASTING CABLE

Blasting cables and extension cables are needed in blasting practices to direct the voltage generated by the ignition source to the igniter (e.g. blasting machine or exploder) , if possible without loss. Our blasting cables are of high quality and are composed of external insulation for robustness and stability to provide long service life.
